Pure Power Picks Review: Pricing, Results & Verdict

Most trade alert services bury you in signals. Pure Power Picks does the opposite. It sends three to five stock and options alerts a week, writes out the reasoning, marks the levels on a chart and tracks every setup afterward. That pitch is why a lot of traders look it up, and it’s why this Pure Power Picks review exists.

We went through the pricing page, the public results archive, the app, the Watchlist and screenshots from a live member dashboard. Below you’ll find what the service includes, what the track record does and doesn’t prove, what it costs, and who should skip it.

Quick verdict

  • Best for: swing traders who can hold ideas for days or weeks and want a clear plan on each alert
  • Price: $97/month, or $797/year
  • Standout: a public track record of 781 alerts, misses included
  • Watch out for: the headline numbers measure peak potential, not money earned
  • Our rating: 4.2 out of 5

What is Pure Power Picks?

Pure Power Picks (PPP) is a subscription service that publishes swing-trade ideas on stocks, with matching options contracts for members who want more leverage. The company behind it is HappyAlien LLC. Its tracked archive of alerts starts in May 2021.

The idea is simple: send fewer alerts, explain each one, and keep a record of how they turn out. A member quoted on its Trustpilot page says it doesn’t flood you with picks every day, which fits how the service describes itself.

What you get with a membership

Every plan includes the same features. Here’s the short list:

  • Trade alerts: 3 to 5 a week, each with a written thesis, a matching contract, targets and an invalidation level
  • Delivery: app push notifications, text, email and Discord
  • Weekly Market Brief: a Sunday shortlist of 4 to 6 stocks with chart levels, plus an economic and earnings calendar
  • PPP Watchlist: the weekly board of names being researched, some of which later become alerts
  • Live alert tracker: every published alert with status labels and results
  • Trade Planner: type any ticker and get a bullish and bearish case with zones, triggers, targets and invalidation
  • AI Assistant and My Desk: ask about a stock or an alert, with live prices pulled in
  • Charts and Data Flow: a charting workspace plus four market scanners for options activity and sector rotation
  • Trading Room: a Discord community open 24 hours a day
  • Education: The Options Trader’s Playbook ebook and an A-to-Z crash course for newcomers

One limit worth knowing: the AI Assistant and Trade Planner share 100 AI credits a week, which reset every Sunday. Browsing alerts, charts and watchlists is unlimited.

What an alert looks like

Each alert starts with the stock, not the option. You get a bullish or bearish read, the reasoning, a timeframe and the key levels: support, resistance, a breakout trigger, targets and the price that would prove the idea wrong. A call or put with a strike and expiration is attached for options traders.

Contracts usually cost between $0.50 and $5.00 per share, so $50 to $500 per contract, and you can trade as few as one. Ideas typically play out over days to weeks, and sometimes months.

Inside the member dashboard

The screenshots we reviewed show the main member views.

pure power picks alert tracker

The tracker lists each active option alert with its ticker, strike, expiration, alerted price, the highest price reached and the current price. A few rows from the October 5 view show why those columns matter:

  • BABA $120 call: alerted at $4.40, high of +22.7%, currently +22.7%
  • BA $205 call: alerted at about $4.40, a high of +70.5%, but currently +21.4%
  • PM $200 call: alerted at $4.70, high of +4.3%, currently -6.4%

Put those side by side and you get the most useful lesson in this review. The “high” column is what the contract touched. The “current” column is what it’s worth now. They are often very different.

The October 4 Watchlist had 8 names. Each card shows price, market cap, the next earnings date and a plain-language read. Airbnb (ABNB), for instance, was at $159.82, just 3.2% below its $164.91 breakout level, with support and resistance zones listed. Hims & Hers (HIMS) was at $29.30, just 8.7% below its $31.86 breakout. It’s a clear, readable format, and it reads more like a study guide than a hot tip.

Pure Power Picks results: what the track record really shows

PPP publishes a results page covering 781 options alerts from May 2021 to December 2025. That openness is a real strength, since many alert services show no record at all. Here’s the summary:

Year Alerts Avg max opportunity Reached +50% Under +20% (misses)
2025 168 207.6% 67.3% 13.7%
2024 166 261.2% 70.5% 14.5%
2023 171 163.5% 62.0% 20.5%
2022 171 141.9% 60.8% 18.7%
2021 (from May) 105 176.5% 47.6% 32.4%
All years 781 190.8% 62.7% 19.0%

Two things stand out. First, the trend is encouraging. The share of alerts that reached +50% rose from 47.6% in 2021 to 60% or more every year since, and the share of misses fell from 32.4% to under 15% in 2024 and 2025.

Second, you need to read the numbers correctly. “Max opportunity” is the highest price a contract reached after the alert, compared with the alerted price. PPP itself says these are tracked setups and not actual trades. The archive also records only the alerted price and the peak, so it doesn’t show how far a contract fell before it got there, and it assumes no stop-loss. Catching the exact peak is nearly impossible, as the BA example above shows (+70.5% high, +21.4% now).

So the honest reading is this: the record suggests the ideas often move in the predicted direction. It does not tell you what a real trader would have earned. Your results depend on when you buy, when you sell, how big you trade and whether you use stops.

Pros and cons

What PPP does well

  • Only 3 to 5 alerts a week, so you can follow along with a day job
  • Every alert has a written thesis, levels and an invalidation point
  • A public record that includes misses
  • A full toolkit (planner, charts, scanners, AI assistant) included in every plan
  • iPhone and Android apps with push notifications for targets and invalidations
  • A free preview before you pay
  • A 4.5 rating on Trustpilot from 38 to 39 reviews

What to be careful about

  • Results are peak figures, not realized returns, and the archive stops at December 2025
  • Options can lose the full premium, and many alerts take weeks to play out
  • At $97/month, you need to make good use of it to justify the cost
  • The 100-credit weekly cap limits heavy AI use
  • It isn’t investment advice and PPP isn’t a registered advisor
  • Some older third-party reviews questioned how much the team shares about itself. The site now names its parent company, but you may want to read its About page

Who are Pure Power Picks best for?

It suits traders who already understand calls and puts, or are willing to learn, and who can act on a plan within a day or two. The weekly rhythm, the written reasoning and the crash course also make it friendlier to newer traders than a firehose of daily signals.

It’s a poor fit if you want guaranteed income, can’t afford to lose the money you trade with, or prefer buy-and-hold investing. For that crowd, our guides to AI stock picking services and the best AI stock picking services for cautious investors may be a better starting point.

How to try it without overpaying

  1. Start with the free 7-day preview and read each alert’s thesis and levels.
  2. Compare the tracker’s “high” and “current” columns before trusting any headline percentage.
  3. Paper trade first, or use one contract at a time.
  4. Decide your maximum loss before you buy, and stick to it.
  5. Make sure your broker supports options. Our guides to the best brokerage for beginners and Robinhood vs. Fidelity can help you choose.

If you’ve read our other service reviews, such as our Motley Fool review and our Seeking Alpha review, you’ll see PPP takes a different approach: shorter-term options setups instead of long-term stock research.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pure Power Picks legit?

It’s a real, operating service with a public results archive, apps and a Trustpilot rating around 4.5. It is not a registered investment advisor, and nothing it publishes is a guarantee.

How much does Pure Power Picks cost?

$97 a month, $247 a quarter, $797 a year or $3,497 for lifetime access. Every plan includes all features.

Does Pure Power Picks have a free trial?

Yes. You can start a free 7-day alert preview with an email address, or try the monthly membership free for 7 days before billing begins on day 8.

Are Pure Power Picks results guaranteed?

No. The published figures show the highest price each tracked contract reached. They aren’t profits, and real results vary.

Is Pure Power Picks good for beginners?

It can be, thanks to its plain-English alerts and crash course, but options are risky. Beginners should start with small positions and learn the basics first.

Final verdict

For traders who want fewer, better-explained ideas, Pure Power Picks is one of the more transparent alert services we’ve reviewed. The written plans, the full toolkit and a track record that shows its misses are real strengths. The catch is that the numbers show potential, not profit, and options punish poor timing. Use the free preview, size your trades small and treat each alert as a lesson in how a setup is built.

If that sounds useful, you can start your free 7 days at Pure Power Picks here.
